Bio
Olivia Shatwell is a British mezzo-soprano from Bournemouth, England. Recently graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire with a Bachelor degree in Music Performance (Classical Singing), Olivia is quickly establishing herself as one of the most exciting and versatile singers in London.

Musical life for Olivia began at Christchurch Priory, singing with the choir there from a young age. In 2016 she sang as part of the Strictly Come Dancing tour, and has since performed across opera, concert, musical theatre and jazz.

During her time at Trinity Laban, Olivia has taken part in masterclasses with Nicky Spence and Ailish Tynan, and has been a member of Trinity Laban’s Chamber Choir and Ruby Throat Ensemble. In addition, Olivia has performed in prominent Operatic roles, including: Dame Carruthers in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Yeomen of the Guard in 2025, and La Tasse and La Pastoure in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges at Blackheath Halls in 2026. Her musical theatre work includes roles as Princess Fiona, Rumpleteazer, Dorothy, as well as roles in productions of Scrooge and Peter Pan with Ginger Boy Productions, led by West End performer Earl Carpenter. As a concert singer, Olivia has performed as an alto soloist in Haydn’s The Creation and Mozart’s Requiem across the UK.

Alongside her classical work, Olivia has positioned herself as an unmissable singer for private events, regularly performing at weddings, corporate events, balls and masquerades, both as a soloist and with jazz bands. Internationally, in the summer of 2025, Olivia worked as a Jazz singer in Athens, Greece. As well as performing, she has worked as a session musician recorded at iconic studios including Abbey Road.

Olivia continues to develop her work across classical and contemporary styles, with a particular interest in opera, jazz and live performance, and is poised to be one to watch in the London music scene in the next few years.
